Overview

WeView connects Property Seekers with WeViewers, a network of trusted local viewers who inspect properties on their behalf. Founded to solve the challenges of long-distance and out-of-market property search, the business had grown on manual processes: forms, email chains and a small admin team coordinating matches, schedules and payments by hand. To scale, WeView needed a fully integrated digital ecosystem that kept the trust and personal service at the core of the offering.

The challenge and the opportunity

The challenge

The manual operation had reached its ceiling. The challenge was to move a people-heavy service onto a platform that could scale, while keeping the experience personal for every side of the marketplace.

  • Operational bottlenecks: Admin staff were matching Property Seekers to WeViewers by hand, managing schedule changes and coordinating payments over email, which limited how fast the business could grow.
  • Three distinct user groups: Property Seekers, WeViewers and admins each had different goals, contexts and levels of technical comfort. The ecosystem had to serve each of them without compromise.
  • Trust as the core value: Property Seekers rely on WeView for credible, standardised inspections they can act on. Every touchpoint had to reinforce reliability and quality.

The solution

Rocket Lab proposed product and technical discovery workshops with WeView. Rocket Lab designed the whole ecosystem end to end:

  • A redesigned brochure site introducing the new brand and giving both Property Seekers and WeViewers a clear front door into the platform.
  • A dedicated mobile app for WeViewers designed for gig workers on the move, with proximity-based job matching, a steady flow of work and automated payouts, so viewers can focus on the inspection, not the admin.
  • A Property Seeker web portal a clear booking journey and standardised inspection reports, making the "trusted eyes" promise visible from booking to outcome.
  • A Super Admin portal replacing manual matching, scheduling and coordination with an automated matching engine and a single operational control surface.
  • A unified brand and design system built on shadcn/ui, for a consistent identity and experience across every surface of the ecosystem.

Brand presence

The WeView brand was outdated. The service depended on trust and the founder's network, and little effort had gone into the brand or brand guidelines. Prospective Property Seekers and WeViewers were left with a first impression that did not reflect the quality of the service.

  • Not a recognisable brand or logo. Nothing distinctive enough to build trust or recall on sight.
  • An outdated brochure site. A dated design that did not reflect the quality of the service behind it.
  • No consistent identity across touchpoints. What little brand existed was not applied consistently anywhere.

The final mark

After testing several directions, the client signed off on this one: a confident lowercase wordmark with a single accent dot, bold enough for a full-width hero and simple enough to hold up as a favicon or app icon. The simplest option turned out to be the most versatile.

  • The WeView wordmark: a bold lowercase weview with a purple full stop, white on deep purple
  • The wordmark set on its construction grid
  • The W. app icon: white with a purple dot on deep purple, and in grey on light grey
  • Two browser tabs showing the new WeView favicon on weview.com.au

Design highlights

Beyond the core flows, a handful of smaller decisions shaped how the experience actually feels to use.

  • The WeViewer app's job list: a card for an inspection in Sydney Olympic Park with the schedule, the fee and the inspection type
  • A person using a phone, with an app card offering a job: Start at 2PM today, Accept job
  • A training screen: All modules completed, with a button to take the final quiz
  • A viewer's note on an inspection: There is mould in the kitchen area, with a photo
  • The WeView landing page on a laptop, headed Too busy to attend inspections?
The landing pageWeView's front door, designed to turn visitors into leads, whether they are booking an inspection or signing up as a WeViewer.
  • A hand holding a phone showing the Ready to start? screen that notifies the client when the viewer arrives
  • The inspection report on a laptop, with the WeViewer's notes, photos and video of the property
Proof, not just a checklistEvery inspection ends in one clear report: the WeViewer's written notes alongside photos and video, organised by property and timestamped for reference.
  • Two phones showing the inspection type picker and a list of paid invoices
  • A photo of a person at home with arms raised, beside an app card: Start at 2PM today, Accept job
  • Two notifications: Job matched near you, and You've got paid $90.00
  • The Great job! confirmation and the Complete inspection report screen with uploaded photos and video

Outcome

Rocket Lab partnered with WeView to design an ecosystem for both sides of a marketplace, and for the team operating it. By replacing manual processes with a connected multi-product experience, and by automating the operational work behind the scenes, we enabled a service-led business to scale as a digital platform.

The full brand, design system and product suite were delivered end to end.
