React Native developers in Sydney and Melbourne since 2015
We were one of the first teams in Australia to build with React Native. Ten years on, our senior engineers design, build, take over and upgrade iOS and Android apps for founders, government and established brands, including the Explore South Australia app, Superloop and Lasoo.

What we do with React Native
Whether you are starting from a blank page or inheriting an app someone else built, we cover the whole life of a React Native product.
New React Native apps
From MVP to launch. We design and build your iOS and Android app, integrate your backend and payments, and handle App Store and Google Play releases.
Take over an existing app
Your agency or freelancer has moved on? We review the codebase, stabilise it, document it and keep shipping, without a rewrite unless it is truly needed.
Upgrades and modernisation
Older apps fall behind fast. We upgrade to current React Native versions and the New Architecture, update dependencies and keep you inside Apple and Google store requirements.
Expo and native code
We use Expo where it speeds you up and write native iOS and Android code where your app needs it, so you get the benefits of React Native without its limits.
Maintenance and support
Monthly plans that keep your app updated, secure and live in the stores.

If your app came from Cursor, Lovable or Bolt, our fixed-price audit tells you what to fix, what to cut and what it costs to launch.

Explore South Australia
The South Australian Tourism Commission's official travel app for iOS and Android, built from the ground up by Rocket Lab. Interactive maps with nearby suggestions, a personalised travel quiz, an itinerary planner, offline access and sync with southaustralia.com.
Superloop
React Native development for one of Australia's leading broadband providers.
"For Superloop, they have delivered some of the biggest, and highest profile projects that we have done in the last 12 months."
Kim Janson, Head of Design, Superloop
Erin Living
An MVP designed, built and launched with the founders, then grown from there.
"They guided us through the launch of our MVP and due to their expertise in developing web and app products, our business has been going from strength to strength."
Anthony Mazzei, Co-founder, Erin Living
Lasoo
The Lasoo app and website, delivered to a tight launch deadline alongside Lasoo's own team.
"Julien assigned 4 talented front end engineers with the appropriate skillsets to help us get both the app and website across the finish line on time."
Mathew Paule, General Manager, Lasoo
And many more, for startups, enterprise and government.

Ten years of React Native
We started building with React Native in 2015, the year it was released, and have shipped and maintained apps through every major version since.
Senior and local
Your app is designed and built by our Australian-based team in Sydney and Melbourne, and you work directly with the people writing the code.
Built to last
We build apps you can keep improving for years. Clients like James Hardie have worked with us for 12 years.
Faster with AI, safely
We use AI coding tools every day to move faster, with senior engineers reviewing every change that ships to your users.
How a React Native project runs
- Discovery. We agree goals, users, scope and the must-haves for launch, then give you a fixed quote.
- Design and prototype. Clickable designs you can test before a line of code is written.
- Build in sprints. Regular demos on real devices so you see progress every fortnight.
- Test and launch. QA on iOS and Android, then App Store and Google Play submission.
- Support and grow. Updates, monitoring and new features after launch.
Cost and timelines
Every project gets a fixed quote after a short discovery phase. As a guide, a focused first release usually takes 2 to 3 months, a medium-sized app 4 to 6 months, and a larger platform 6 months or more. App maintenance plans start from A$1,490 a month.

Straight answers to what founders and product teams ask us most. Can't see yours?
Ask us directlyWhat is React Native?
React Native is an open-source framework created by Meta for building native iOS and Android apps from one JavaScript or TypeScript codebase. Unlike older hybrid tools, it renders real native components, so apps look and feel native.
Is React Native still a good choice in 2026?
For most business apps, yes. It is actively maintained by Meta and a large community, its New Architecture is now the default, and Expo has made building and releasing apps much smoother. Companies such as Microsoft, Shopify and Discord use it in their apps.
React Native or Flutter?
Both are strong. React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and shares skills and code with React websites. Flutter uses Dart and draws its own interface. We build with both and recommend based on your team, your existing code and your app, not a preference.
Our Flutter developmentReact Native or fully native (Swift and Kotlin)?
Fully native makes sense for graphics-heavy apps, games or apps that live deep in the operating system. For most business, consumer and government apps, React Native gives you both platforms from one codebase at lower cost, and native code can still be added where needed.
How much does a React Native app cost in Australia?
It depends on scope: the number of screens, integrations, user roles and backend work. We give every project a fixed quote after a short discovery phase, and a free consultation is enough for a ballpark.
How long does it take to build a React Native app?
A focused first release usually takes 2 to 3 months, a medium-sized app 4 to 6 months, and a larger platform 6 months or more.
Can you take over our existing React Native app?
Yes. We start with a code review to understand its health, then stabilise, upgrade and keep building. If the app was built mostly with AI tools, our fixed-price App Rescue Report (from A$2,950) is the fastest way to find out where it stands.
Do you upgrade old React Native apps?
Yes. Apple and Google raise their requirements every year, and apps several versions behind become hard to update and can be blocked from releasing. We plan and run upgrades to current React Native versions, including the New Architecture.
Do you only work with clients in Sydney and Melbourne?
Our team is based in Sydney and Melbourne, and we work with clients across Australia. The Explore South Australia app, for example, was built for the South Australian Tourism Commission.
